U.K. Centre of Excellence in Biocatalysis, Biotransformations and Biocatalytic Manufacture (CoEBio3) - Dowpharma is one of the affiliate companies for the new CoEBio3. The Centre will comprise 60-80 researchers engaged in the use of natural catalysts (enzymes) for the preparation of high-value speciality chemicals, including pharmaceuticals and their intermediates. The overall objective of the centre is to rapidly expand the use of biocatalysis in synthetic organic chemistry.

Aquapharm Bio-Discovery Ltd - Dowpharma have recently entered into a collaboration with Aquapharm to investigate their marine bio-organisms as sources of novel biocatalysts. The company specifically specialises in the discovery and development of novel bio-active natural products from the isolation & culture of new marine microbes from the diverse UK coast line & beyond.

Through such collaborations, DowpharmaSM remains on the cutting edge of biotransformation technology while enabling our partners to access the benefits of a global company infrastructure.
